Welcome

I am a builder, maker, tinkerer, and closet inventor. The drive I have to learn serves as a catalyst to create. This site highlights a small portions of the things that I have developed. Many of the items that I have created over the years were never captured or documented, so I am attempting to log as much of what I can now. My interests include designing electronic gadgetry, robot construction, carpentry, woodworking, 3D printing, laser engraving, CNC carving, illustration, acrylic, watercolor and oil painting, mechanics, pneumatics, optics, musical instrument creation, board and video game design, comics, cartooning, 3D animation and much more.

CV Introduction

Field experience in Government, Defense, Intelligence, Healthcare, Banking, Pharmacy, and Manufacturing. Multiple patent holder in various silos including product, technology and business. Thinktank participant in multiple sciences.

Former CIO, COO and CEO with grit and a “Just Do-It!” mindset. Solid track record for dispelling misconceptions and capabilities, while busting down barriers that hinder departmental and company growth. Keen insight into short and long-term technology trends that impact business, and its stakeholders. Excellent knowledge of process automation, workflow, application design, and issue resolution along with superb evaluation and judgement skills. Adept at interdepartmental coordination and facilitation to maximize business and stakeholders time efficiently. Focused lens on Low-Code, Application Development, ETL, Machine Learning, Reporting and RPA!

I have a registered MENSA score of 192, yet I would not say I am a genius by any stretch. This is because my mind is like a cornucopia full of useless knowledge and those close to me often wonder if I should be left unattended.

– Quote taken from 2007 Popular Science magazine interview

My mindset:

  • I always assume I am wrong. This enables me to listen to others, solidify my opinions and expand upon my options.
  • I rarely take credit for what is done, especially when working with a group. I find I get more output and gain greater levels of success when I defuse my ego and promote the efforts of others.
  • I embrace change. Change brings opportunities.
  • I lean towards risk. I find that high-risk brings high rewards.
  • I don’t fear failure – I embrace it. My failures enable me to grow and achieve more.
  • I am an optimist! I am able to find the good in most situations.
  • My intuition has never steered me in the wrong direction.
  • I’d rather work to compromise than to say, “No!”

I realize that in the big-picture, I am insignificant, almost non-existent. The personal challenges, frustrations and troubles that eat at me today, won’t mean anything to anyone 50 to 100 years from now. If I am extremely lucky, my abbreviated name will end up as a dot on someone’s family genealogy tree, but in 1000 years that to will have vanished. Knowing these facts, gives me an immense amount of freedom and power to make mistakes, acknowledge my ignorance, engage without embarrassment, and say a lot of stupid shit along the way.
