We still hold onto our a sense of importance when viewing down from low altitude only because we can still our landscape.

We however begin to lose our perspective of importance as we get to the heights of low-Earth orbit.

The Earth as viewed from the moon is a captivating sight, but other than that, humanity at this point is not visible.
